Eagle’s Nest Foundation (ENF) is a non-profit that promotes the natural world and the betterment of human character through experiential education programs and is located in Pisgah Forest, NC. ENF supports three programs: Eagle’s Nest Camp (a residential summer camp for children ages 6-17), Hante Adventures (an off-site adventure program for teens), and The Outdoor Academy (an academic semester boarding school for 10th and 11th graders).

POSITION SUMMARY
The Office Manager/Outdoor Academy Registrar (OMR) will primarily manage the day-to-day office functions for Eagle’s Nest Foundation, assist with special events, and provide registrar support for The Outdoor Academy (OA). This position primarily reports to the Executive Director. The OMR is responsible for office management oversight including: phone coverage, greeting visitors, directing campus tours, ordering office supplies, supporting Directors with administrative needs, assist Development with special events, retail management of the school store/canteen, basic systems resources maintenance/security and assist in the creation of the office supply budget. The OMR will oversee all work outsourced to provide equipment maintenance, technology and network assistance, and other office infrastructure needs.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
  • Technology and office equipment; computer skills; basic financial skills; verbal and written communication skills; organization and attention to detail; high level of professionalism, able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion; time management skills
  • Foster a community of wellbeing with clear communication, teamwork, and peer support.
  • Demonstrated office management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Demonstrated front office and phone communication experience, preferably in a school or camp
  • Demonstrated basic technology support and troubleshooting

SCHEDULE
  • Typical office hours are 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Flex time is offered when work is required for occasional weekends and special campus events.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Salary range: $38,000 - $42,000 annually
  • Full-time, non-exempt 12-month position
  • Eagle’s Nest Foundation provides a salary, contributory health insurance plans, retirement plans, paid time off, Summer Camp and OA discounts and pro deals.  Lunch is available on class days when OA and Camp are in session during time worked. Specific benefits are outlined in the employment offer letter.
